Deceased Name: Tom Garlinger
Services for Tom Garlinger, 62, 1218 S. Shank St., Portland, will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Baird-Freeman Funeral Home, Portland, with Pastor Hugh Kelly officiating. Burial will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery, west of Bryant. He died Tuesday at Ball Memorial Hospital. Born in Decatur on Oct. 24, 1943, to Carl and Frona Estella (Ford) Garlinger, he graduated from Bryant High School in 1961. He married Kathryn M. Ingle on July 18, 1964. She survives. A member of the Arch Bridge Kroozers, he was co-owner and manager of CarQuest of Portland and had worked at Sheller-Globe. Other survivors include a son, Ron Garlinger, Portland; a daughter, Lisa Lee, Bryant; four brothers, Robert Garlinger, Geneva, Donald Garlinger, Guam, John Garlinger, Bryant, and Joe Garlinger, Geneva; a sister, Mrs. Ed (Norma) Minch, Portland; three grandchildren; one great-grandson and several nieces and nephews.
