216. John William⁸ Garlinger (Jacob⁷, Adam⁶, Jacob⁵, "George" Johannes Georgius⁴, Johann Heinrich³ Gerlinger, Phillippus Jacobus², Christoph¹) (#658) was born in Ohio February 1872. John died January 31, 1907 in Athens, Ohio, at 34 years of age. His body was interred 1907 in Nelsonville, Athens, Ohio.

He married Rosa Mae Boyce in Athens, Ohio, about 1900. (Rosa Mae Boyce is #735.) Rosa was born November 5, 1880. Rosa died March 10, 1945 at 64 years of age. !DEATH: Was decapitated in a mining accident on Jan 31, 1907

She also wrote a very moving account of her family's difficu lties after her father's death in a 1907 mining accident.

+ 341 iii. Naomi Winifred "Winnie" Garlinger was born July 29, 1904.

342 iv. Nell Gertrude Garlinger (#717) was born in Buchtel, Athens, Ohio 1907. Nell died 1988 in Ft. Thomas, Kentucky, at 81 years of age.
