14. Adonijah³ Hassan (John², Hugh¹) (#22) was born in Trumball, Ohio April 4, 1825. Adonijah died May 14, 1903 in Jay, Indiana, at 78 years of age.

He married Margaret Baumberger in Hancock, Ohio, January 8, 1857. (Margaret Baumberger is #23.) Margaret was born in Ohio June 1838. Margaret was the daughter of Baumberger and ?. At 19 years of age Margaret became the mother of Lucinda E. Hassan in Ohio, October 8, 1857. At 21 years of age Margaret became the mother of Mary Melicendra Hassan in Van Buren Twp., Hancock, Ohio, November 1, 1859. At 23 years of age Margaret became the mother of Homer A. Hassan in Ohio, November 7, 1861. At 25 years of age Margaret became the mother of George Robert Hassan in Ohio, April 24, 1864. At 29 years of age Margaret became the mother of John William Hassan in Ohio, April 28, 1868. At 33 years of age Margaret became the mother of Isaac M. Hassan in Ohio, September 7, 1871. At 34 years of age Margaret became the mother of Franklin A. Hassan in Ohio, May 3, 1873. !MISC: According to a written entry of Emma Knoelke Garlinger, "Margot Baumberger's parents were born in Switzerland."

At 32 years of age Adonijah became the father of Lucinda E. Hassan in Ohio, October 8, 1857. At 34 years of age Adonijah became the father of Mary Melicendra Hassan in Van Buren Twp., Hancock, Ohio, November 1, 1859. At 36 years of age Adonijah became the father of Homer A. Hassan in Ohio, November 7, 1861. At 39 years of age Adonijah became the father of George Robert Hassan in Ohio, April 24, 1864. At 43 years of age Adonijah became the father of John William Hassan in Ohio, April 28, 1868. At 46 years of age Adonijah became the father of Isaac M. Hassan in Ohio, September 7, 1871. At 48 years of age Adonijah became the father of Franklin A. Hassan in Ohio, May 3, 1873.

Adonijah Hassan and Margaret Baumberger had the following children:

18 i. Lucinda E.⁴ Hassan (#157) was born in Ohio October 8, 1857. Lucinda died 1921 at 63 years of age. She married Frederick William Keller. (Frederick William Keller is #163.)

20 iii. Homer A. Hassan (#158) was born in Ohio November 7, 1861. Homer died March 26, 1876 in Ohio, at 14 years of age.

21 iv. George Robert Hassan (#159) was born in Ohio April 24, 1864. George died 1930 at 66 years of age. He married Harriet C. Dixon. (Harriet C. Dixon is #164.) George Robert Hassan married in Jay County, Indiana and moved to Merc er County, Ohio where they farmed. He was an attorney as well as a farme r. It was who handed down the story to his children of the first Hassan coming to this country as a stowaway from Ireland.

22 v. John William Hassan (#160) was born in Ohio April 28, 1868. John died 1911 at 43 years of age. He married Susan A. Schroyer in Mercer, Ohio. (Susan A. Schroyer is #165.)

23 vi. Isaac M. Hassan (#161) was born in Ohio September 7, 1871. Isaac died 1945 at 73 years of age. His body was interred in Portland, Jay, Indiana. He married Estella Ashcraft. (Estella Ashcraft is #166.)

24 vii. Franklin A. Hassan (#162) was born in Ohio May 3, 1873. Franklin died 1888 at 15 years of age. !DEATH:Died from measles
